Listing agreement

A claimed listing is yours to edit, unpublish, or delete. You control what it says, who can contact you and how, and whether it appears at all. There is no charge for any of it today, and if that ever changes we will tell you before it does — we will not put an existing listing behind a paywall.

You also get to see how the listing performs: how often it appeared in search, was opened, and produced an inquiry. Those are real counts, not estimates.

• That you are the person or organisation the listing describes, or are authorised to act for them.
• That everything on the listing is accurate, and that you will correct it when it stops being accurate.
• That any licence or credential you submit is genuine, current, and yours.
• That you will tell us if a licence lapses, is suspended, or is restricted.

Submitting a credential you do not hold is grounds for removing the listing permanently, and depending on the credential it may be a criminal offence in your state.

These are enforced when you save, not merely asked for:

• No substance your tier does not cover. Which substances a listing may name depends on the credential we verified and the state you practise in. If your licence does not cover it, the option is not offered and the save is refused.
• No protected clinical titles unless you hold the licence. Words like “therapist”, “psychotherapy”, and “diagnose” are restricted by state title-protection statutes and are blocked on tiers that are not verified as licensed clinicians.
• No claims of cure or guaranteed outcome. Oregon licensees are barred from this by OAR 333-333-6100, and unsubstantiated health claims are actionable under the FTC Act generally. This applies to every tier.
• No offer to supply, source, sell, or ship anything. Under 21 U.S.C. §843(c)(2)(A) it is a federal offence to use the internet to advertise unauthorised distribution of a controlled substance. This applies to every tier, always, and it is the one rule with no exceptions and no appeals.

How tiers and badges work →

A verification badge is a statement we make about you, in our own voice, to the people reading your listing. That means we decide when it appears, we record the evidence behind it, and we remove it if we can no longer stand behind it — for instance when a licence lapses, or when a register stops confirming what it confirmed before.

You cannot buy a badge, and nothing you write on your listing changes which badge it carries.

Messages sent through your listing routinely contain health information about the person writing — sometimes a diagnosis, often something they have told very few people. Treat them accordingly.

• Use them to respond to that person. Do not add anyone to a mailing list because they contacted you.
• Do not sell, share, or repurpose them.
• Delete what you no longer need.
• If someone asks you to delete their message, do it — and tell us if the request came through us.

We deliberately do not put the message body in the notification email we send you, because email is not a private channel. You read it after signing in.

You can unpublish at any time from your dashboard, immediately, with no notice period and nobody to ask. If you want the record deleted rather than hidden, write to removals@findfacilitators.com and we will delete it.

A listing you asked to remove is marked so that re-importing the public records it came from will not bring it back.

We may unpublish or remove a listing if:

• A credential turns out not to be genuine, or has lapsed and cannot be re-confirmed.
• The listing offers to supply a controlled substance.
• The listing makes claims we have asked to be corrected and which have not been.
• We receive a credible report of harm and need time to look into it.

Except where we think someone is at risk, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. If we remove a listing we will say why, in writing.

You keep ownership of the text and images you upload, and you grant us permission to display them on the site and in search results. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload, including photographs of people.

This agreement is governed by the laws of Oregon, and sits alongside our terms of use and privacy policy.
